OVERCOMING WORD PRAISE CENTER

Overcoming Word’s Core Values:

1. INTEGRITY

Integrity is moral soundness, uprightness, purity, honesty, and freedom from corruptive influences and motives.

PSALM 15:2 (God’s Word Translation) – “The one who walks with INTEGRITY, does what is righteous and speaks the truth within his heart.”

2. FAMILY

Family is the fundamental building block of ministry.

Ministry first begins with husbands and wives loving and serving each other in the home, while setting a Godly example for their children.

The ministry of family is then extended into the community forming a body of like minded believers with the fundamental tools to properly minister to the lost and hurting.

1 Timothy 3:5 (KJV) - “For if a man know not how to rule his own house (FAMILY), how shall he take care of the church of God?”

3. EXCELLENCE

Excellence in Hebrew refers to one who is honorable, and in Aramaic it simply means to glow.

The life of Daniel gives us a great illustration of what results to be expected of people who have committed themselves to God to be people of excellence.

DANIEL 6:3 – “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

The Spirit of Excellence in which the Body of Christ presents themselves through our speech, actions, and the way we conduct ourselves inside and outside the church. The Spirit of Excellence will cause a glowing effect to be seen by all who we come in contact with.

MATTHEW 5:16 (Amplified Bible) – “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.”

4. LOVE

Love is an affection of the mind excited by beauty and worth of any kind, or by the qualities of an object which communicate pleasure. Love is opposed to hatred.

The love of God is the first duty of man, and this springs from just views of his attributes or Excellencies of character, which afford the highest delight to the sanctified heart. Esteem and reverence constitute ingredients in this affection, and a fear of offending him is its inseparable effect.

1 John 4:7 (Message Bible) – “My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.”
